Errors And Omissions: A Letter From Venus In Virgo (2)

Dear AstrologyDating.com:

Your blogger sent me a copy of his upcoming entry on my passage through Virgo, and decided to take the time to point out a number of issues I have with it. Normally, I wouldn't take the time to write to an astrology dating site (although you know how I love dating... and astrology). However, there were simply too many errors in Matthew's copy that need to be addressed.

(The original blog entry he wrote? I made a quick phone call to Uranus and it vanished off Matthew's hard drive. I have connections, you know, and I'm not afraid to use them.)

1) I am not "fallen" in Virgo, at least in the sense you may think. True, I'm "exalted" in Pisces, and Virgo is the opposite sign to Pisces... so technically, yes, that means "fallen." But don't take that to mean "defective." Think of it this way: I am just as much The Love Planet in Virgo as I am anywhere else. Just think of Venus in Pisces as being "exalted" in the same way the drunkest cheerleader on Saturday night is "exalted" to the football team celebrating their victory. Just sayin'.

2) I am not "too modest for my own good." I understand my assets, and I don't spend them unwisely. Believe me, over-exposing one's ego isn't terribly sexy. I'm no LeBron James. By the way, LeBron James isn't a Virgo. As a matter of fact, he hasn't got anything in Virgo. Could you tell? I know I could.

3) I am not detached... I just make wise assessments of my assets and how they are likely to be received. And I'm not a prude: I enjoy pleasure as much as any other Venus placement, I'm just better aware of my limitations and common sense. Lindsay Lohan? Not an ounce of Virgo in that girl, and no shame at all.

4) I don't use criticism as a form of expressing affection. And if you have any other comments or observations about Venus in Virgo, please feel free to send them along to me for proofreading and correction!

5) Finally: I do not find it inherently easier to bond with my pets than with people. That's just ridiculous.

Now, if you'll excuse me, it's time for the kitties and I to sit down to a nice bowl of low-fat popcorn and watch a historical drama...

Love it, but then, what else would a Venus in Capricorn say? Thank you for the giggles.

Astrology is ancient, and I have never heard such an up-to-date example of "exhaltation" as you have done here. It may not be politically correct, but I believe it is useful in making the necessary analogy.
